They wanted an architect to help them navigate the ideas, facts, of building in the historic districts of Santa Fe, Santa Fe Renovations brought me in because, I am their favorite architect. It is a joy working with him and his crews artisans, on adding news adobe rooms to an existing adobe rooms to an existing adobe Old Santa Fe style home on the Eastside of Santa Fe. The proportions of the new rooms were utmost to create the balance and flow the space demanded. The existing living room is long and low, gorgeous are and collections so we balanced it with a tall square room with a large skylight to create an airy counterpoint to the existing house. The two portals give access to new gardens designed by Designs b y Carlotta They entertain beautifully in a beautiful space. the new airy den leads to a master bedroom and bath using hand stenciled ceiling and vigas by Kuki and hand chosen and painted El Milagro tiles from Mexico in the bath. The existing doors were reused with the milagros reused too.
The office views were re-directed to the garden to the west and new windows to match existing. The new bookshelves into the office were created for art, books display of an eclectic art collection of folk art and were faux painted by John ….
