Isn't this door so striking?

You can see this door at the Los Luceros historic site. Though it looks weathered and so very much like an essential part of the building, it's not an original feature. The stars are applied panels from the dime store! The paint adds to the folk art quality of the piece.

The building itself may have been built during the 1700s and was once inhabited by Bostonian socialite, Mary Cabot Wheelwright. Her journey in the Southwest is a truly interesting story!

I love this bathroom design...

The windows are strategically placed to let in natural light while maintaining privacy, thanks to the lovely stained glass panels and the skylight. The green plants in this room adds a freshness and life to the space. It's such a well-thought-out bath/shower combination, allowing for a doorless shower.

I have the sweetest coworkers! ❤️

Often you'll find them at the office sleeping under my desk while I work. They are so friendly and everyone who meets them loves them. I'm so grateful to have them in my life!

My dogs accompany me to @iconikcoffee near the office when I need a coffee break. They have been such delightful companions - especially during the pandemic.

This stunning home is one of my favorite projects.

In 2005, we had added this portal outside and adorned the walls with softly glowing starlight fixtures from Mexico. This decorative touch really elevated the space and was Dark Sky approved.

I've continued working with my clients living at this property and I love our continued collaborations. It's such a privilege to be a creative participant in the lifespan of a well-loved home. I have some of the best connections with my long-term clients after years establishing trust. The creativity flows so freely with repeat clients to make truly unique, beautiful spaces.

This guest bedroom design is so special to me. The beautiful painting above the bed was created by my mother, Mary Bechtol.

Aside from her mastery of demonstrating nature's elegance in many different styles, this painting imbues the harmony of the song of the nearby river where this cabin is located. The movement of the clouds echoes the motion of water flowing in the river adding artful, beautiful contrast to the rustic nature of the room.

There are a handful of family heirlooms bringing a lived-in quality to the space. The Jeep in the window was found at the @folkartmarket in Santa Fe, NM and the quilt has been passed down in my family for years. In a room this rustic, personal touches like these give the eye somewhere to rest and be delighted.
